Volunteering

           Volunteering is what keeps this department afloat.  While there is always the need for more firefighters, we can also use more volunteers for assisting with bingo, fundraisers, maintenance, and our board of trustees. 

           Almost everyone living in the Union tax district is in the Cheat Lake Fire Protection Area.  While it is not a requirement that you live in this area to volunteer for fundraisers, firefighters must live in this area. 

           Anyone interested in volunteering can stop in during bingo on Mondays 6pm to 10pm or email cheatlakevfd@comcast.net or call 304-594-1223 and leave a message.
